Through highs and lows, wars and depression, the Tower Circus has remained a constant and familiar landmark to generations of holidaymakers to the famous seaside resort. Listed by the Department of the Environment as a grade one structure, the Tower Circus, still complete with its unique hydraulic sinking ring, is one of the oldest surviving buildings of its type in the world. Today, with the Tower once again in the local ownership of Leisure Parcs, the circus is modern and forward looking, enjoying a long season and proving more popular than ever. This book records the history of the Tower Circus and recalls many of the wonderful acts and personalities that have appeared in the most fabulous of circus arenas.
